David Margolick

David Margolick is a contributing editor at Portfolio. Prior to that, he had a similar position at Vanity Fair, where he covered culture and politics. Prior to that he covered legal affairs for the New York Times. He is the author of, most recently, ELIZABETH AND HAZEL: Two Women of Little Rock, published by Yale University Press (2011). His prior books are BEYOND GLORY: Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling; A WORD ON THE BRINK (2005); STRANGE FRUIT: The Biography of a Song (2001); AT THE BAR: The Passions and Peccadillos of American Lawyers (1995) and UNDUE INFLUENCE: The Epic Battle for the Johnson & Johnson Fortune (1993). He lives in New York City.
