Deborah Joy Corey was born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada. Her first novel, Losing Eddie, was awarded the prestigious W.H.Smith/Books in Canada First Novel Award. Her stories have been published in such literary journals as the Carolina Quarterly, Ploughshares, Image, Grain, and theCrescent Review. She lives in a small coastal village in Maine with her husband and two daughters.
