Charles Payseur grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois, before scuttling off to the frigid recesses of northwestern Wisconsin. Perhaps addled by the cold and snow, he settled with his partner in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where he probably enjoys the various craft breweries and excellent cheeses a bit more than is strictly healthy for him. As a writer, his fiction and poetry has appeared at Nightmare Magazine, Lightspeed, Unlikely Story, and Strange Horizons, among others.
