Jessica Keener, author of Strangers in Budapest

Eight months after their move from Boston to Budapest, Annie and Will’s efforts to assimilate are thrown into turmoil when they receive a message from friends in the US asking that they check up on an elderly man, a fiercely independent Jewish American WWII veteran who helped free Hungarian Jews from a Nazi prison camp. They soon learn that the man, Edward Weiss, has come to Hungary to exact revenge on someone he is convinced seduced, married and then murdered his daughter.

Pamela Kramer

Pamela Kramer began her obsession with books by reading the entire Wizard of Oz series when she was in kindergarten and first grade. She was a lawyer for many years and is retired from her job as a dual language gifted teacher in Highland Park, Illinois. Pamela enjoyed combining her love of books and her love of animals with her teaching. She got to read new picture books to younger students and used their reactions in her reviews. Through her website, she is able to recommend middle grade and young adult books to students.

Hello! My name is Ollie. I'm an avid lover of all things cats and all things horror. Weird mix, I know, right? Or is it...anyways. My favorite horror movie of all time is most definitely the original Scream, the most iconic horror movie of all time --- not opinion, just fact. My favorite horror author is 110% Stephen King, my favorite book of his being CARRIE. My favorite type of cat are those really furry ones, with little stumps as legs and tiny little paws. Aw, just thinking of them now makes my heart cry of happiness.

Hi, I’m Rohan and I like painting, horror movies and bacon. If I’m not doing homework or binge watching "Stranger Things" then I’m probably knee-deep in a book. I find reading a great escape to a new world and I can be lost for hours.

I’m Lauren and I am the youngest of five children. We all adore books and needless to say, we have a few bookshelves. I am 15 years old and play volleyball, golf and I throw javelin. My favorite shows are all cartoon shows like "Miraculous Ladybug" or "Voltron," but I also love Marvel and DC content. In general, I am a fairly hyper and happy person, and I am beyond excited to be involved in this amazing program. I really want to help introduce readers to new books that they will love and cherish.

Hi! My name is Isaac Makovsky, I am 14 years old and a freshman in high school. I love reading and I can't wait to see what books are waiting for me. Along with books I like sports and computers, however, I am really good at binge-watching shows like "Grey's Anatomy." I am also an avid Marvel fan and make sure to catch whatever comes out as soon as possible. I can't wait to get into my first year on the Teen Board.
