Barbara Neil was born in London and grew up there. She now lives and writes on a farm in Wiltshire, England, with her husband and five children. . . and 500 cows. She is the author of three previous novels: As We Forgive, Someone Wonderful, and The Possession of Delia Sutherland. Her work has been translated into 12 languages.
