Paulette Jiles

A novelist, poet and memoirist, Paulette Jiles was the author of a memoir, COUSINS, and the novels ENEMY WOMEN, STORMY WEATHER, THE COLOR OF LIGHTNING, LIGHTHOUSE ISLAND, SIMON THE FIDDLER, CHENNEVILLE and NEWS OF THE WORLD, the latter of which was a finalist for the 2016 National Book Award. Jiles passed away on July 8, 2025 at the age of 82.
