There is a saying that “it’s summertime and the living is easy.” Personally, I think summer has its own unique challenges as it brings the complications of trying to juggle vacations and schedules (not just mine, but those of family, staff and other work colleagues). Routines are lovingly tossed to the wind, bringing in their wake the endless making of plans --- and changing of plans. I can see your heads nodding from here. Book group organization looks easy by comparison, though I am sure many of you are handling summer scheduling complications with that as well! Fortunately, we heard from a number of you about what your groups are doing as alternatives to meetings, and we're sharing that excellent intel here.
